Charles Colson was known primarily as one of the Watergate Seven, as President Richard Nixon’s Special Counsel (and sometimes called “Hatchet Man”). During the Watergate scandal, he pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice.

Colson was the first of Nixon’s administration to go to prison, and served seven months. At some point, he became a minister and started providing services to the prisoners, and continued down a similar path after his time served.

Colson became known as an Evangelical Christian and wrote as many as 30 books.
